Schedule: Weekday: Three physicians start 7am, one works 7am-7pm, two peel off as rooms come down; one physician works 7pm-7am night float Sunday-Thursday; weekends: two physicians with 24-hour in-house shifts Friday and Saturday (or holidays). 17 weeks vacation, 17 weekends of work, average 8-9 weeks night float annually.
Call: 6-physician call pool with one physician in-house 24/7; very rare call-back on backup call
