Position Requirements Description Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital is seeking a Night Float Anesthesiologist to join our group! Bon Secours Health System is a community-based, not-for-profit health organization with seven hospitals and a longstanding presence in the greater Richmond, VA, area. At Bon Secours St. Mary’s Hospital, more than 27,000 outpatient and inpatient surgeries are performed each year. Our practice provides anesthesia services for over 44,000 cases a year. Our group consists of 25 physicians and over 70 CRNAs covering two hospitals in the Richmond area, both with high levels of acuity. Key Responsibilities • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures • Pre-anesthesia assessment • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition • Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements M.D./D.O.
