Deaconess is a large not-for-profit regional health system anchored by Deaconess Midtown and Deaconess Gateway hospitals in Evansville, serving southwestern Indiana, southeastern Illinois, and western Kentucky. It directly employs CRNAs and anesthesiologists (both employed and 1099 arrangements) in a physician/CRNA care-team model. Primary anesthesia services run through the hospital ORs and GI lab, covering general, orthopedic, neuro, urology, vascular, cardiac, OB/GYN, basic pediatric, and regional cases.
