The hospital provides a broad range of medical and surgical services, including a 24/7 Emergency Department, ICU, advanced surgical suites, and a dedicated heart hospital. The connected Tennova Surgery Center West further expands procedural capabilities with four fully equipped operating rooms and two advanced endoscopy suites. Case Mix CAAs will have the opportunity to work with a broad and varied case mix, including: General surgery GI and endoscopy Cardiac cases Ophthalmology Simple pediatric cases Team and Leadership Join a supportive, collaborative anesthesia care team led by experienced regional leadership. Responsibilities Perform pre-anesthesia assessments Obtain and/or verify informed patient consent Discuss anesthetic plans, options, and risks with patients Participate in induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia Monitor patients’ physiological condition throughout the perioperative period Perform clinical interventions as needed in collaboration with the anesthesia care team Qualifications Master’s degree from an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program Eligible for or currently licensed in accordance with American Academy of Anesthesiologist Assistants guidelines Strong communication skills, sound clinical judgment, and a patient-centered approach to care Total Rewards Annual base starting at $240,000 $75,000 sign-on incentive Generous paid time off Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and AD&D insurance Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Savings Accounts 401(k) retirement plan Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage Leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities Live and Work in Knoxville Knoxville offers the energy of a growing city with the natural beauty and outdoor access of East Tennessee.
