Aspirus Wausau Hospital is a 325-bed Level II trauma center and regional referral hospital serving north-central Wisconsin, providing primary, secondary and tertiary care with about 350 physicians across 35 specialties. It is best known for its cardiovascular program and also offers cancer, trauma, women's health, spine and neurological care. Anesthesia is provided under a physician-directed care-team model by Central Wisconsin Anesthesiology, the largest medically directed anesthesia group in the region, whose staff includes physician anesthesiologists and CRNAs covering the hospital's operating rooms and procedural areas.
