Position Requirements Description Seeking a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist to join our team at Navicent, Macon GA. Our practice offers a full array of anesthesia services for Atrium Health Navicent Medical Center. This Macon, GA-based facility is recognized for excellence on a national level and is among the premier teaching hospitals in the United States. As the second-largest hospital in Georgia, it has 637 licensed beds for medical surgical, cardiac surgery, trauma treatment, and pediatrics. The facility has a Level I Trauma Center; a children’s hospital built in 2019; 34 operating rooms and several ancillary suites; and a stand-alone outpatient facility. The practice consists of 16 anesthesiologists and 58 anesthetists, including CRNAs and Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CAAs) who all work together in a care team model. Total Rewards Salary: $565K Benefits: • Generous paid time off • Generous benefits package, including: Health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance • Flexible Spending Accounts / Health Savings Accounts • 401(k) • Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage • Leadership and professional development opportunities • Sign On Incentives including Loan Repayment and Training Assistance options: $30K Awards/Recognition • Magnet recognized by American Nurses Credentialing Center • Named one of Healthcare’s Most Wired Responsibilities • Case assignments: General surgery, cardiac, pediatrics, OB and GYN services, ortho, trauma, plastics, ENT, urology, and neurosurgery. • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures • Pre-anesthesia assessment • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition • Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements • Schedule: 4:1 ratio Monday thru Friday 0700 until the cases are done (usually between 1500-1700 but could run longer) Call from when the cases are done until 0700 next day Monday thru Friday 24 hour beeper call on the weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Schedule is flexible and will be determined with other providers but no more than three weeks a month • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine • ECFMG and FLEX • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia • Fellowship Trained in Pediatric Anesthesiology • Currently licensed as a physician Salary: $565K Sign-on incentives: $30K EEO Statement North American Partners in Anesthesia is an equal opportunity employer.
