The facility operates under a physician supervision model with 100% hands-on MD involvement and maintains the clinical infrastructure necessary to support quality anesthesia care delivery on an ongoing basis. Locum tenens pediatric anesthesiologist coverage is sought beginning in January on an ongoing basis. About the Facility LocationThe area offers a range of cultural, natural, and recreational attractions suited to diverse interests. Visitors may explore the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens, which features plants from around the world including desert and tropical varieties, a Koi pond, a waterfall, and a butterfly area, with an expansion scheduled for completion in spring of 2027. The area also includes Delaware Park, the redeveloped Canalside waterfront, architectural landmarks, a craft brewery scene, and proximity to Niagara Falls, with activities such as kayaking, brewery tours, and live entertainment available during time away from clinical duties. About the Clinician's WorkdayThe pediatric anesthesiologist will provide comprehensive anesthesia services on a day shift basis, following a 5x10-hour shift schedule, with overtime applicable after 50 or 40 hours depending on the shift structure. The surgical case mix includes OB, healthy pediatric patients, and adult cases spanning neurosurgery, ophthalmology, orthopedics, ENT, dental, urology, neonatal, laparoscopic, general pediatric abdominal, thoracic, and trauma procedures. Call from home is required for OB coverage, with all other call arrangements negotiable. Board certification in Pediatric Anesthesiology is required for this on-site locum tenens assignment.
