Position Requirements Description Anesthesiologist opportunity at Methodist Texsan Hospital in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. NAPA, the largest anesthesia provider in the country, is expanding its partnership with HCA Methodist Healthcare system in San Antonio, TX. Methodist Texsan Hospital is a 120-bed facility with Full-Service Emergency Department, 4 operating rooms, 4 cardiac catheterization labs, a 24-hour cardiovascular emergency department, and even a rooftop helicopter pad. Total Rewards Hourly Rate: $325.00 (per diem and 1099) Benefits: • Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage • Leadership and professional development opportunities Awards/Recognition • Patient Satisfaction scored in the top 10% nationally (Press Ganey) • “A” grade in the Leapfrog Hospital patient safety grade assessment (fall 2016, spring 2017 and spring 2018) • Ranked nationally on the Top 150 places to work by Healthcare Magazine (2016, 2017, 2018) Responsibilities • Case assignments: Cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, electrophysiology, ECT and general • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures • Pre-anesthesia assessment • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition • Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements • M.D./D.O.
