Methodist Texsan Hospital is a 120-bed facility with Full-Service Emergency Department, 4 operating rooms, 4 cardiac catheterization labs, a 24-hour cardiovascular emergency department, and even a rooftop helicopter pad. Total Rewards Hourly Rate: $325.00 (per diem and 1099) Benefits: • Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage • Leadership and professional development opportunities Awards/Recognition • Patient Satisfaction scored in the top 10% nationally (Press Ganey) • “A” grade in the Leapfrog Hospital patient safety grade assessment (fall 2016, spring 2017 and spring 2018) • Ranked nationally on the Top 150 places to work by Healthcare Magazine (2016, 2017, 2018) Responsibilities • Case assignments: Cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, vascular, thoracic, electrophysiology, ECT and general • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures • Pre-anesthesia assessment • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition • Performance of clinical intervention as needed Requirements • M.D./D.O.
