About the Facility LocationAlaska offers access to a range of wildlife encounters, including whale watching off the coast, bear viewing near Katmai National Park, and sea otter sightings in coastal waters. Outdoor pursuits include kayaking among icebergs at Spencer Glacier, hiking trails within Denali National Park, and exploring the coastal rainforest of Herring Cove. Additional opportunities include boat cruises through the Kenai Fjords, train excursions, and visits to destinations such as Tracy Arm Fjord and Endicott Arm. About the Clinician's WorkdayClinicians in this role will provide autonomous anesthesia services during Monday through Friday day shifts within an operating room setting, working 5x10-hour shifts with a guaranteed 50 hours per week. The surgical case mix is broad and requires demonstrated proficiency in heavy orthopedics, nerve blocks, OB/GYN, epidurals, general surgery, robotics, endoscopy, trauma, C-sections, pediatric dental, ENT, and central lines; all listed case types are required with no exceptions. Cardiac cases are excluded from this assignment. Clinicians must be comfortable practicing autonomously with light supervision, and call coverage is negotiable. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required for all clinicians considered for this role.
