The facility maintains organized perioperative workflows and clinical protocols designed to support quality patient care delivery. Locum tenens anesthesiologist coverage is sought to address current staffing needs within the Anesthesia Department. About the Facility LocationMunster, Indiana is located in the northwest region of the state, offering proximity to a range of cultural and recreational amenities. The area provides access to dining, shopping, and community events, with additional attractions available throughout the broader region. Clinicians on assignment will find varied options for engagement beyond the clinical setting. About the Clinician's WorkdayClinicians in this role will provide anesthesia services under a medical supervision model (1:6) during day shifts at an operating room in Munster, Indiana, with 50% hands-on MD involvement. The surgical case mix includes general surgery (50-60% of cases), cardiac procedures via a dedicated open heart team, lungs and vascular cases (optional), limited neurological cases including weekly spine procedures, light trauma volume, and pediatric cases limited to minor ortho and ENT procedures for patients generally age 2 and older. CRNAs and MDs perform independent regional anesthesia, and the facility utilizes Epic EMR. Call coverage is negotiable, with occasional after-hours call required including emergent cases such as C-sections; credentialing takes approximately 90 days and temporary privileges are not available.
