About the Clinician's WorkdayClinicians in this role will provide anesthesia services under a medical direction model during day shifts at an operating room facility in Auburn, NY, Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The surgical case mix includes general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, urology, endoscopy, GI, and required OB epidurals, with 24/7 OB coverage; no major cardiac, no major trauma, and limited pediatrics. The case mix emphasizes regional and OB anesthesia, including epidurals, spinals, and peripheral nerve blocks such as interscalene and femoral; scheduled cesarean sections may require spinal anesthesia. Call coverage is required, consisting of 1 - 2 weekday calls from the hotel per week and one weekend hotel call per month; board certification in Anesthesiology is required.
